A Bit About Martha

About Martha Abbey Miller:

Though proud to call Westlake Village, California, home, Martha grew up in Minneapolis.  A liberal arts degree from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from Avila University in Kansas City, Missouri, set the foundation for her successful career as a communications manager of global companies such as Hewlett-Packard. Martha retired in 2005 to devote her energies to her writing, church, and community.  And, her second career as a professional writer and performer blossomed.

Martha researches, writes, and produces one-woman shows, giving audiences a unique look at fascinating historical figures. She is also preparing for publication a collection of vignettes on everyday life, and has started her first book.

Martha volunteers as the director of the used bookstore, the Book Nook, at the Westlake Village Library, and is President of the Friends of the Library board. She is an advisor for her church’s junior high youth group and mentors middle school girls. Martha also dedicates time to mission work locally and in Haiti.

Above all, Martha delights in blending her passions and perspectives to enrich the lives of others.
